Refunds and withdrawal

You have 14 days from receipt of your order to withdraw, without giving a reason. Return shipping is at your expense. We refund you no later than 14 days after being told of your decision.

This page supplements the article Right of withdrawal of the terms of sale.

As a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from an order placed on the site, without reason and without penalty (articles L. 221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).

The period starts when you receive the product. For several products delivered separately, it starts when you receive the last one. For a pack, it starts when you receive the last product of the pack.

Tell us your decision before the period ends with a clear statement: the model form below, an e-mail to sav@madameintentionnelle.com, a letter to Rachel Rickson & Co, 1B chemin du Mignon, 77130 Montereau-Fault-Yonne, France, or a message from the Contact page.

Give your name, order number and the products concerned. We acknowledge your request by e-mail.

Using the form is optional: it is enough that your decision is expressed unambiguously.

Return the product without undue delay and no later than 14 days after telling us your decision, to the address we give in our reply.

The product must be in good condition, complete and preferably in its original packaging. Books and planners must be free of marks or damage.

The direct cost of returning it is yours. Keep proof of dispatch. We recommend tracked shipping: the parcel travels at your risk until we receive it.

You are liable for any loss in value of the product resulting from handling other than what is needed to establish its nature, features and functioning.

We refund all sums paid, including standard delivery costs, no later than 14 days after being told of your decision. If you chose a delivery method more expensive than standard, the extra is not refunded.

We may defer the refund until we have received the product or until you provide proof of dispatch, whichever is earlier.

The refund is made by the payment method used for the order, at no cost to you. How soon it appears on your statement depends on your bank.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to your specifications or clearly personalised (article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code), for example a product printed with your name or made to measure.

To date, no product in the shop is personalised.

The 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies once the download begins, with your prior express consent and express waiver, given by ticking the box in your cart before payment.

If the file is faulty or does not open, write to us from the Contact page with your order number: we will send you a new file or find a solution.

A pre-order is not an exception: you may withdraw from the time of your order and up to 14 days after receiving the product. If you withdraw before shipping, we cancel the order and refund you.

If the release is postponed or the product is not delivered 30 days after the announced date, you may cancel and be refunded (see the terms of sale, article Pre-orders).

If you receive a defective product, one different from your order, or one damaged in transit, write to us from the Contact page with your order number and photos, as soon as possible.

We then offer, at your choice where possible, replacement or refund, with no return cost for you. This right is in addition to the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity, which is independent of withdrawal.

As long as your order has not shipped, you can ask to cancel it from the Contact page. We then refund you in full, without waiting for the withdrawal period.

A parcel already sent follows the withdrawal procedure above.

Orders placed via WhatsApp Business with the bookseller in Dakar are subject to the terms communicated by the bookseller when ordering. The rights the law gives you remain applicable according to the country of sale.

To be completed and returned only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.
